A luncheon meeting, with one hour of CE, is generally held on the third Wednesday of each month except during tax season. The lunch meetings begin at noon and are held at various locations. Topic: Securing your Customer’s Data
We will cover 12 areas of security for tax businesses including 2 factor authentication, SIM protection, updates and patches, managed security, mobile device management and dark web issues. We will also provide a path to navigate these issues and protect your business, your clients and yourself from malware and data breaches.

Brian Hamilton is the owner of Mid-Atlantic Data & Communications, LLC, an IT managed service provider. They specialize in providing complete network and computer support. He has been in business since 2004, and has a degree in Information Systems Technology from Virginia Western Community College. He worked in this field for 4 years before beginning his own business.

Receiving CE credit for attending VASEA chapter meetings is a benefit of VASEA membership. All active members and associates in good standing are eligible to receive IRS CE credit through the VASEA office for chapter meetings at no charge.
