A luncheon meeting, with one hour of CE, is generally held on the third Wednesday of each month except during tax season. The lunch meetings begin at noon and are held at various locations. Topic: The New Postcard 1040. This will be a review and discussion of the new format for Form 1040, and the 18 schedules associated with the shorter form.
Speaker: Mary G. Adkins, RTRP has been preparing Forms 1040 and various state returns since 1978. She began her tax career with H & R Block and is currently employed by Brown Edwards and Co. as an Income Tax Associate. She has also worked for Dixon, Hughes, Goodman, LLP, Watkins and Associates, CPA, and King, Shores & Preston. Mary has a BS in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and has completed the accounting curriculum at Virginia Western Community College. She became an RTRP with IRS in October 2012 and has been an Associate Member of the Blue Ridge Chapter of Enrolled Agents since September 2004

For CE Credit for VASEA Members:
Receiving CE credit for attending VASEA chapter meetings is a benefit of VASEA membership. All active members and associates in good standing are eligible to receive IRS CE credit through the VASEA office for chapter meetings at no charge.
